About the Distraction Jaxon Hands-Free Program
Distraction Jaxon Hands-Free is a program developed by Angel Upshaw of the Georgia Governor's Office of Highway Safety to help introduce preteens to safe driving behaviors before they ever get behind the wheel. Through a focus on distraction-free driving and the Georgia Hands-Free Law, the program helps students understand the dangers of divided attention and encourages them to develop habits that support safer choices as future drivers. By engaging middle school students at an important stage in their development, Distraction Jaxon aims to build awareness and promote safer behaviors on Georgia's roadways.
